## Story

The ODD-1 is a compact hardware instrument for capturing, transforming and layering sound. Rather than starting from oscillators, it treats samples and incoming audio as the raw material for playable sounds, moving textures and synchronized loops. Each of its two layers has four playheads with independent pitch, speed and time settings.

It has three modes. SYNTH builds playable sounds from loaded or recorded samples. LIVE keeps a 60-second rolling buffer of incoming audio and turns it into an instrument. LOOPS records separate loops with their own lengths and tuning while keeping them in sync.

The hardware pairs a color touchscreen with physical encoders, stereo line in and out, headphone output, TRS and USB MIDI, and four inputs that can be set to CV, gate, expression or sustain pedal. The purchase includes a license for the ODD-1v plug-in, so patches can move between the box and a DAW.
